Gatsby Unit Ph.D. Modules Coursework
Coursework as part of the Ph.D.-level modules at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, UCL.
As part of the MSc in Machine Learning programme at UCL, I had the opportunity to take two modules at the Gatsby Unit aimed at their Ph.D. students. Each module had a substantial piece of coursework, linked below.
Module 1: Probabilistic and Unsupervised Learning
Topics: text decryption with MCMC, the EM algorithm, Gibbs sampling for LDA, model selection, optimisation.

Module 2: Approximate Inference and Learning in Probabilistic Models
Topics: graphical models, Gaussian processes, variational inference, expectation propagation, belief propagation.
